A 3-day Family Trip in Nanjing

Of all the cities in China, I finally chose Nanjing to spend my summer holiday with my family. The place was selected for several reasons: its richness in culture and history, the vitality of its modern life, the daintiness of all the snacks and street food, and most importantly, it's a paradise for children.

Zhongshan Mountain National Park

Zhongshan Mountain National Park is the most famous tourist attraction in Nanjing, consisting of 3 major scenic areas- Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum Scenic Area, Ming Tomb Scenic Area and Linggu Scenic Area, covering more than 50 scenic spots including Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum, Ming Tomb, Linggu Temple, Music Stage etc.

Smell the Scent of Flowers in Nanjing

Nanjing, with its profound history, has long been hailed as the Capital of Six Dynasties, and beyond that Nanjing is also known for its abundance of flowers blooming throughout the year. Whenever you come to Nanjing, there are always one or several kinds of flowers that could draw your attention and feast your eyes.

Linggu Temple

Linggu Temple is a Buddhist temple in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. The temple was described as 'the best Buddhist temple in the world'. It was now surrounded by a large park. The temple was first built in 515 under the reign of the Liang Dynasty (502-557). It used to lie at the northeast foot of Mount Zhongshan, i.e. where Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum now locates, since Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang chose the place to be his mausoleum and then the temple was moved to the present place. The temple was named by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang himself.
